Summit County Government is soliciting bids from qualified contractors for the removal of approximately 5,900 lineal feet of avalanche debris from the 12 foot-wide paved portions and 3 foot lateral clearance zone of the Summit County Recreational Pathway in Tenmile Canyon (Recpath). The Recpath is located between Frisco and Copper Mountain generally running parallel to Interstate 70 and State Highway 91 south and east of Tenmile Creek. The emphasis of this project is to reopen the Recpath by side casting snow, woody debris and any rocks, onto the remaining portions of the avalanche debris outside of the Recpath corridor. The project should be
initiated as soon as possible after Colorado Avalanche Information Center (CAIC) snow safety experts indicate safe work conditions and following mutual execution of the contract, with the goal to be completed by Friday June 28, 2019.
